Obituary for Christopher Lee Black

CHRISTOPHER LEE BLACK

Christopher L. Black, 31, passed away unexpectedly April 3, 2022, at his place of residence.
He was born May 1, 1990, in Dallas, Texas, at Parkland Memorial Hospital,
the son of Darryl Black and Robin (Bechard) Alexander.
Chris graduated from Plano East Senior High School, Class of 2008.
Following High school, he attended Collin County Community College and then served with the U.S.Army
from 2009 until 2014 in Iraq and Afghanistan. Chris received Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal,
Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon
He continued his education after his service ended in 2014 with Delaware Technical Community College,
where he made the dean's list in 2016. Chris went on to graduate in 2019 with a license in Massage Therapy
with the Academy of Massage and Bodywork in Bear, Delaware with honors.
Chris was not married and was predeceased by his grandma Shirley Bechard and grandfather Dave Bechard, and grandfather William Black.
He is survived by his son Preston of Allen, and his sister Andrea of Allen, his brother Dalton of Oklahoma, his cousin Kyli. Surviving in addition to his mother and father, his grandmother
Marcia Black, and many other aunts and uncles and cousins who love and miss him dearly.
Chris enjoyed playing guitar and was a part of the lighting team and member of the Shoreline City Church of Dallas. He loved riding his motorcycle,
old cars, racing, animals, concerts, travelling, playing pool and hanging out with his cousins and friends.
