Obituary for Sara Ann Tillman

Sara was born April 26, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to the late Lloyd and Bertha Wyrick.
Sara graduated from Kimball High School in 1972. Sara lived her whole life in her beloved Oak Cliff. She was the GOAT Mama of Oak Cliff.
Sara fell in love Ricky Tillman, a chef. They married in 1978. Sara worked at Hexter Fair Title Company and Republic Title of Texas.
Sara and Ricky's dream was to own their own restaurant. Scouting out an area on 7th street, he found potential. In 1992 their dream became reality and they opened Tillman's Corner in what was to become the new Bishop Arts District.
When her beloved Ricky died in 1997, Sara took over the daily running of the restaurant to continue his legacy. She loved to greet everyone coming into the restaurant, making new friends and enjoying the old ones. Sara never met a stranger.
Sara was an avid gardener and her yard was a show place. She also enjoyed shopping looking for the cool items. Sara was always up for a road trip. Everywhere she went, she ran into people that knew her.
Sara is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Bert and her husband Ricky.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas and his wife, Joyce along with many treasured friends.
Sara will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Whenever you think of Sara, remember her laugh and smile, and that you knew this vivacious woman.
