Obituary for Zachery James Norman

Zachary James Norman – a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend – passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the age of 27.
Zachary, the son of Gary and María Norman Conchas, was born on August 2, 1994, in Dallas. He was an exceptional member of the baseball team at Canton High School and several colleges, and was set to complete his bachelor’s degree this fall at the University of Texas at Arlington. Zachary loved sports and was a champion for many sports teams, including the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, SMU Mustangs, and Oklahoma Sooners. More than anything, Zachary loved his large family and many friends. He was always a radiant example of living life to its fullest and made the most of every day.
Over the last several weeks, Zachary rapidly became ill. He was diagnosed with leukemia, complicated by a spontaneous brain bleed only hours later. The events were sudden and unexpected. The family finds peace in God’s mercy and knowing that Zachary is no longer suffering, but is now with his Savior, Jesus of Nazareth.
In addition to his parents, Gary and María, Zachary is survived by the following family:
brother, Gregory Byron Norman and wife, Tulana, with children, Hayden and Maddox; brother, Christopher David Norman and wife, Kara; sister, AnaMarie Elise Lynd and husband, Taner, with children, Jonas, Doak, and Roy; abuelita, Angelina Conchas Ochoa; and many cousins, tías, tíos, aunts, and uncles.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16 at The Gathering Church, located in Dallas at 500 Furlong Drive. The family asks that you consider donating to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as a tribute to honor the memory of Zachary.
